Well, if it was up to me, I would say that the Apple desktop is alot better to record music than a laptop, (not that laptops are not good) but I think that an Apple desktop beats a laptop to a punch. Well, I would definitetly suggest to get the Apple desktop.

I believe that an apple desktop is better. They were the ones that were the best before the laptop was around. My brother in law has his own recording studio and he has told me he uses both but if you want the best sound then use the apple.

I have a friend who is a recording engineer. He uses an Apple laptop. His recordings and compositions sound great!

Desktop probably...
If it's anything like windows, i have a top spec laptop...
All singing all dancing, and to record and playback music, it's
sh!te !
and it cost a few quid short of 2k less than a year ago...

Well i have a laptop and it works great especially on music so i'd have to go with laptop.

well, desktops are usually more powerful, especially for multimedia work. however Apple's iBooks are so high - end, and essentially tailor made for this kind of work that they should be more than sufficient.
