I understand that limewire is good but has drawbacks such as bringing in viruses. I don't know much about Ares Lite but I have seen it mentioned here several times. So which one is better please ?

Broadband Internet?

For now im using dial up connection with my PC and with a modem istalled but how about BROADBAND internet? Is modem still be used for broadband internet or what? pls help. thnx in advance. ;)

i guess you can..of course all you will need is a tv tuner..but..if you watch full screen tv on the monitor...will the quality of the video or display be as good as a real tv?won't it be pixelized?or somethin..

And,can you use it like a tv..in a way,.example..you are going to connect your game console ,let's say PS2, into it...can you do that?is there any converter that can provide your monitor the normal tv output jack stuff(the yellow,white,red plugs if you know what i mean)

I'm wanting a long battery life, best computer, internet wireless card so that I can use anywhere on the ballpark, park, racetrack, we're usually there for at least 7 hours, and its boring until they start the race. I want have anyway to plug the computer in to recharge.

no problem. I also have antispam soft ware, so if its not a virus what else could be making it run so slow? I havnt recently put any new software on it or downloaded anything? and its not just on the internet the whole thing is running slow, any ideas?

I have a Dell Inspiron 5100, its 3 years old and last year it started over heating and turning off. I bought a computer fan to go underneath it which worked for a year and now its turning off again (with the fan underneath). It turns off about every hour. I want to see if I can fix it at home first before I call "geek squad" etc.

I've just bought a scanner from my local junk shop - god knows wether it's in working order or not - and I haven't a clue how to use it.
