Where are all those old hammy games we used to play on these ancient computers?

The good old days when you had to load a game for 45 mins only for it to reboot and start reloading again...................oh joy.

Mainly available from car boot sales and eBay, and some websites who seem to think they're worth a lot of money. You can download them too, but you don't get that same feeling... the clunk of the tape deck, the loooong loading screens and flashing colours in the border (from the days before epilepsy), and that ancient TV set with wood panelling from the 1970's, the joysticks, the rounded keys, playing around with Commodore 64 Basic to make the screen fill with "If you read this you are gay". Ah, happy days!

You can play commodore 16 games at http://www.commodore16.com/play.htm they have literally thousands of games on there, its great fun.

I just bought a commodore 16+4 off ebay too! Only £15!

The commodore had the more effective acceptable video games yet i had a speccy and used to love it. The rubber keys and seperate tape deck lol and the waiting 1/2-hour for a sport to load and merely in the previous it did rtape loading blunders message. Oh it takes me back :-)

in my shed i have 2 vectrex,s most people have never heard of them little back monitor with the controller clips in the front all in white line graphics a commodore64 another one similar to the commodore 64 but called something else a sega master sytem and mega drive

Ah yes, the Commoder 64... had the works, floppy drive, colour monitor, printer... Just for the hell of it I still every once in a while do some programming is Basic.

You can get emulators for the pc that has loads of roms for all sorts of platforms
'Mame' use to do a lot but I dont know if they are still available, I got a program called 'arcade classics' and its got it all from arkanoid to zelda.

Estoy muy apasionada de este mundo y todos mis amigos han confiado en mí a la hora de comprar un ordenador, yo siempre les he comprado de sitios web porque tienen la mejor oferta al mejor precio, pero, el ultimo ordenador que he comprado ha sido uno de juguete para mi hija, y como siempre he acertado, tiene la dimensión perfecta para ella, buenas canciones, aprende con él y imita muy bien un ordenador portátil con su ratón con todo, a ella le ha encantado muchísimo.
