How ican update this drive? how i down load this from net?

hmmmm....well. If you are running windows xp you shouldn't really need a driver. If it is not reading a cd then try a different cd. If it will read a cd but not burn a cd then look at updating\patching your burning software. If it is not doing either one then check the device list to see if it is even listed, if not then it might be a bad drive or installed incorrectly.And finally if you feel that you need a new driver here it is:

A tip for the future - when dealing with electronics include more information. Like Operating system, PC type, new install or just stopped working, stuff like that.
