The computer your using probably is not equipped with speakers
Not sure, but you may be able to buy speakers that you would then connect to your computer.

Possible reasons:
1. There is no speaker in the system (quite a stupid mistake)
2. The speaker exist, but not properly installed (loose cables, forgetting the power plug)
3. The speaker exists, and is properly installed, but the driver is not installed correctly (COMMON PROBLEMS)
4. The speaker exists, properly installed, and driver has no problem, but it have incorrect settings (especially volume and mute)
5. You have a hardware conflict or hardware incompatibility (check your sound card) or Windows have problem with the speaker (VERY RARE)

Make sure nothing is muted and the speakers are OK, try a different set of speakers or headphones, if nothing then the sound card is shot.

Try to install driver for your sound card, if it doesnt work change the sound card, if both are ok then go into control panel select the option of sounds, open it try the different options mentioned there.
