while working on any programme it freezes for few seconds and continues again.While watching some film clip on Windows media player same thing happens.while capturing video it misses few frames.

that can help. Since there seems to be at least a few intelligent people on here as compared to the time I am usually here, I have a problem with my comp. The cursor is translating almost every word I point at. It's not narrating, just translating. I have tried everything I can think of-Windows help, looking in the directory on this comp, asking people that I know, no one seems to know how to turn this function off. It's really beginning to annoy me, and people don't like me when I get annoyed. I have a tendency to want to sting them. Please keep some unfortunate soul from suffering a painful sting and possibly worse (if they happen to be allergic to scorpions) and help me with this problem. First person that can help me solve my problem gets 10 points. It would be worth more than that if I could give them just to get this %$%^&&&^^%%$$## thing to stop!!!!

I used to have Windows 98, and there was a Resource Meter on the system, that you could open in the taskbar and monitor the percentage of free resources you had. I just recentl upgraded to a new computer with Windows XP, but I can't find this feature. Does anybody know what I'm talking about and if there is anything like it on XP?

my computer is dusty at times, but inside it is super, infact it's a new one. it works super. but does this outside dust affect the software or the performance of my computer in any way?

I have a strange problem. After installing a Nvidia Geforce 6200 card, I can play games fine, but I can't watch videos anymore. Every time a video starts my computer gets horribly stuck (extremely slow...until I shut down the player from the task manager). The same happens when I encounter an embedded video on a webpage.

Here are some things I've tried:
-I have installed the latest drivers for the video card
-I have not installed any codec packs, only the official divx codec
-I already tried using different players, I encounter the same problem with every one
-I have tried every type of file: wmv, avi, divx, xvid, rm...none of them work

When I disable the geforce 6200, I am able to play the video files...though they are slightly choppy.

How can I fix the problem so that I can watch video without having to disable my video card?

Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated! I haven't been able to find help for this issue anywhere. Thank you.
