you can't. you can use system restore to go back to an older version if you need to

hi,
you can install media player this way
control panel->add /remove soft->add/remove windows prog
here uncheck the media player check box and click on OK and next
it will be removed. but some media file will not work so be careful.

you can remove windows media player from your computer.because its an inbuilt application of windows.if you dont like wmp,just use some other player.

go to control panel then to add and remove program. then click add and remove window componets then remove it from there.
