Here's what my motherboard manual says:

"This motherboard provides two 184-pin DUAL INLINE MEMORY MODULES (DIMM) sockets for memory expansion from a minimum memory size of 64MB to maximum memory size of 2.0GB DDR SDRAM."

It says 266/333/400.

So, is the absolute best RAM I can get that is compatible with my computer, 2GB DDR 400 MHz?

something like:

When I start up my computer, I get this error message:

RUNDLL
Error loading w03de0e1.dll
The specified module could not be found

That's exactly as it looks. I have no idea what the problem is, and the computer runs fine.

Is there anybody out there that can help me?

Both seem to be high quality processors, especially how I'm jumping from a AMD Athlon 64 3200 to that, I think it will upgrade a lot. My question is, is there really a big difference, because the 4800 is 20 dollars more, but the specs look kinda the same.

Can someone explain to me the difference? (and how much)

Does anyone know what the difference is between these motherboards? I have seen that one has 4xDIMM slots and the other has 2xDIMM, but what other differences are there. Have been sold one on ebay and the description was for the other one. Want to check I have not been ripped off. Also which one is best etc.

I think i got a defective CPU. Since whatever I do it runs hot. Replaced the thermal paste with arctic silver. same thing. IDLE 45 LOAD 65. Even though defective it is within specs so the place i bought from says it's normal. Even so defective I stilled oc'd my chip (E4400 2.0ghz) to 2.8 ghz. using othos i get 68 load. with overclocked speeds. For some reason using the test within Thermal analysis tool gives me a higher temp???

max out cores in tat gives me 70 and orthos 68 and yes i was using task manager to check for 100% and I was using tat to show me temps.

Any ideas

I was wondering if it is possible to waterproof computer hardware, for example memory, without ruining it and if so, how?

I'm not looking for anything cutting edge, hoping to spend $100-200 if possible.

Also, does DirectX9 vs DirectX10 play a huge role in my purchasing decision? Would a video card with 528MB supporting DirectX9 be the same, less or more than a video card with 256MB supporting DirectX10?

The OS will be Windows XPHome Edition. The old HD is available but not installed and since the sound card, graphics card and CD-ROM drive have been upgraded, and a DVD-ROM has been added, using the old hard drive would be more work than it's worth. But if I can boot just to the a: drive with generic CD-ROM support, then I bypass all the problems I would have with the old hd and be able to format and partition the 200 GB HD with the disk that came with it.

I need an all-in-one capturing station that has:

CD/DVD ROM Drive
VHS (actual slot for the tape itself)
Firewire / DV
USB
Memory Card (Various Sizes)
Multiple a/v ports

Do they make hardware such as this? I'd like it all in one piece of hardware that I can connect to my computer, and to where it is compatible with Final Cut Studio, Pinnacle, Vegas, etc. Do you know of anything on the market?
