I connect everything and when i turn on the power supply the mobo lights on blue. and then when i press the power switch on the case (i connected all the headers) another light comes on mobo and the power supply fan starts spinning for .5 seconds and it stops. nothing changes other than the fact that yellow light comes on. any problem sugestions? maybe a trigger or anything like that

If your power supply only starts for 1/2 second, then we can assume its oyur power supply.
Ive had it happen to me once, and have heard that some power supplies have gone dead during the first use.
More common than I thought....
and like I said, it happened to me once.

Just killed the power supply somehow.

Id try another power supply, on the motherbaord--one that you know works.

If you get things going, then youve isolated the problem.
