i got an express disk to install "windows vista home premium" but instead i installed "windows vista starter".while i installed it i skipped the part where i typed in the activation code and installed vista.a month has passed and my computer has "stopped working" or what ever it is.when i type in the activation code it says "this is not a code for windows starter edition"and now im i'm stuck! how do i fix it?

They have always problems with the codes.LOL... All you have to do it, call microsoft and try to do the phone activation. It worked for me.

Re insert the disk and start all over from scratch and this time read and it will allow you to enter the code to activate.
This is the reason it stopped working you may need to contact Microsoft to get things straightened out as well.

Sorry. I refuse to load Vista until they get all the bugs out first.

Call Microsoft's activation line. They will help you with this issue.

You should call the Microsoft activation phone number. I have not had good luck with activation over the internet.
