I have no idea what to get for Chistmas so my mum said 'How about a flat screen for your computer?'
I stopped and thought, that's a good idea then I don't have to pay for it!

I was talking to my computer geekie cousin and he said TFT was better than LCD. What is the difference and is he right?

I bought this monitor from a friend, but without a power chord. Chi Mei is the company that manufactures it, and that's really all I know. DC input is 19V 2.6A. Any help is appreciated.

I have a kitten, and I just got an LCD monitor to replace my big bulky CTR. The problem is that my kitten seems to like this monitor even better than the old one, and every once in a while she feels compelled to paw at the screen and (I'm guessing) try to knock my mouse cursor onto my desk. Now I know it's generally not good to touch/apply pressure to LCD screens; do ya'll think that my kitten's little paws are going to do any damange (i.e., do I need to start some intensive squirt bottle training)? Or are her paw-swipes too light to make any difference?

help, we have a flat screen, And it worked fine for several months, then It just turn off.. when we plug it to the computer it works for like and hour, once we used it for like 4 hours fine, then it turned off! Could it be caused by the contact's that are connected to the pc? cause one is missing or broken.. we lost the box and receipt, if not we would have return it!!!.. so does anyone know how much would it cost to fix a flat screen monitor? i'll try to get info on the monitor.

I know monitors dimensions (i.e 17") are measure diagonally, and do not always measure the exact veiwing area.

Would this mean a 17" widescreen monitor would then be less tall than a 17"? or does it keep the same height and just widen it (so it wouldnt exactrly measure diagonally)

When I start my computer normally, my monitor shuts off/turns black and I can't see anything. I restarted the computer and tried it again and it still didnt work. The only way I can access my computer is to do it on safe mode. Anybody know the problem?

Ok I have tried the monitor on a different computer and it works fine, also when I turn the computer on I can hear sounds come out of the speakers. I don't get the initial beep when you press the power button on the computer though. I think my problem is the video card but do you think it could be something else too?? thanks for all the help.
