Could it be caused by the contact's that are connected to the pc? cause one is missing or broken.. we lost the box and receipt, if not we would have return it!!!.. so does anyone know how much would it cost to fix a flat screen monitor? i'll try to get info on the monitor.

It could be one of the pins. My monitor has 1 missing pin, but it works perfectly. Check to see if both the monitor and computer is on. Make sure they are plugged in. Check to see if the video card is properly installed. If all else fails, contact the monitor company.

By the way, how can you ask a question on Yahoo! Answers if the monitor is busted? Well, I will guess that you are using another computer.

When you say turned off, is the monitor still on ? Or the monitor is completed turned itself off ?

If just the display is gone, you can check by pressing the "manual" button on the display, you should see the choices of contrast, brightness and so forth. If you don't even has that, then the monitor is out of service.

The cost of the flat panel display is almost less than 100 dollars for new. I picture the cost of repairing it may be that much in US.

Since you bought it for less than one year, call the manufacturer for warranty on the monitor. I think it should cover that.

No answer here, just another question. When you say one of the contacts is broken or missing, have you tried using another cable? It could be that simple.
