I have a working lcd from a powerbook and would like to make a desktop monitor from the lcd. I read some relevant articles on the Web and knew that some power and adapter boards are needed, but don't know exactly how to find the proper boards for this specific lcd. Thanks a lot in advance.

I have a dell Inspiron laptop from 2001 that just went to a black screen. I hit the power button to turn it on and it starts its usualy fan noise and all the buttons turn green like they are working, but the screen is black and blank. I figured that some bulb went out after 5 years of use, but i really don't know and I thought someone on here might know.

An Optoma 716 projector accepts rates no more than 85 Hz. When the Emac screen resolution is lowered to 1024 x 768 or less, the refresh rate automatically increases to above 85 Hz. How can I get around the Display Preferences settings to match a resolution of 1024 x 768 with a refresh rate of less <= 85?

I have a Compaq Presario desktop and my dad replaced the Compaq monitor with this huge Samsung SyncMaster997DF monitor and now you can't see everything on the websites.
I can't see all of the links...I have to put my cursor over the invisible link or radial button to figure out exactly what it is and I changed the colors of my Yahoo page but I can't see that either. Also, when I go maccosmetics.com I can't see the color of any of the color swatches! I don't know how to correct it. I tried checking the monitor setting but that didn't fix everything. My dad screwed this up somehow. I need a computer geek to help me with this one... ;-)

I have a Samtron 77v monitor and I run Windows XP on an HP Pavillion Media Center m260n. When I set my resolution to 1280x1040, which is supposed to be the optimal setting for 77V, everything gets extremely tiny. The only way i can use my computer is if I set it at 800x600 otherwise its too small. At work I use a higher resolution around 1280x1040 and it looks fine. Any idea how I can increase my resolution without making everything so small? Why is this happening anyway - is it the monitor? If I get a new LCD will I run into the same problem?

Okay, I was working on my paper when all of a sudden most of it disappears and I was left looking at my title page. I was on page six of it. I called myself being "safe" by saving it to a disk and saving it to the hard drive, but apparentyly it backfired on me. I used the same name for both. I went to open the disk, to get it back, and the same title page showed up, even though I was saving literally every five minutes! I didn't save after the title screen came up. I did do another stupid thing by turning of the computer. I thought somehow that would help, but nope same title page shows, but my six other pages are missing. It is due tomorrow and I really don't want to have to retype six pages of work (I'm a slow typer) and I wasn't even finished with it. I still had four more pages to type PLEASE HELP ME PLEASE!!!!

I can't play word racer anymore. All hope is lost!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had changed monitors, as the same thing happened to another monitor. I'm assuming this problem isn't related to the monitor because of this. Any suggestions?

I tried another cable that is relatively new, same problem so it is not the cable. I tested the monitor on another pc and it works fine. I downloaded drivers for the video card and installed them and still not working right. Windows troubleshooting suggests updateing the BIOS drivers , and I can download these from Dell. Will try this, if not this then is it a bad video card?
