I got this monitor from my friend and it was working fine and when i hooked it up to my comuter the screen had lines and nathing was showing up it was Vertical Patern lines and that was it i dont know whats wrogn with it does any one know whats up or do i have to install some drivers, HELP

I'd help you if I knew that, but I don't. But I do know about computers, I am one of the inofficial tech people at work. I got called just today to go fix someone's printer!

There is likely a mismatch between your system's display settings, and the settings of the monitor.
Have you rebooted? If not, then reboot so it can try to recognize the monitor type.
If that does not help then reboot in safe mode. Stay in VGA display mode and change the display settings to match the abilities of this monitor.
