It usually goes away, but it's not going away. It's just like how when in movies, there are computers and the lines go up and down them. Well, my lines are going diagonal. It's making me dizzy. Is the problem with the monitor or do I have a computer virus?

Or is the 19" just over kill and a 17" sufficient enough? I'm going to buy a new LCD monitor but I don't want to waste money needlessly. Would there be any problems with the larger screen as far as getting it to display correctly because of the larger size? (I'm running a AGP 256mb ddr Nvidia graphics card. Standard VGA connection.) Will not be used for Gaming or ultra high graphics stuff. From your experience, is it worth the extra money to go with the bigger size screen?

Hi, I'm trying to help a friend over the net fix her computer. I'm just going to cut and paste our conversation so you'll know as much as I do. ---
Tom: so initially .. before you fixed anything.. what were the symptoms?
---yogi: justin said he turned the puter on
---yogi:said it stuck on the windows thing
---yogi: so he turned it off
---yogi: turned it back on and it did the same thing
---yogi: then when i got home
---yogi: the puter was on but the monitor was saying it was on power save
---yogi: it wouldnt bring anything up
---yogi: it just said monitor was working but on power save mode and use the computer to activate it
---yogi: so i changed the video card and it came up right
---yogi: took forever but finally came up
---yogi: but it takes forever to open a window.try opening explorer is like geesh
--
///That's all I know. She changed the video card for some reason and it worked but it's super slugish///
Thanks!

We got a MAC CPU but we don't have the monitor. I am wondering if we need exactly a MAC monitor to get the system up and running? Also is the mouse for MAC different than that for regular PC?

The conputer was off and I had to set it up again- so I plugged it into the wall and I think the sound was from a power surge? Does this mean my computer is no good?

I have been wondering if there would be a device that will project the display from my PC onto a screen or just to the wall of my house, like the cinema projector does. I know there is LCD projector that does this, but that is too costly. Does anybody know if there is an affordable option?
