they will eventually -- every piece of electronics technology will die one day.

But youc an use your with confidence that it will work for 10+ years. I still have a LCD monitor that is on 24h/day thats from 1998 - and it still works great.

If youa re concerned about burn-in (where an image is permanently burned into the lcd), don't worry about it -- it is not a problem with LCDs.

It is possible although i think it MAY go away after several hours (I am talking about a burn in of the screen, i.e. the image continusly displayed gets permentaly displatyed on screen). Best thing to do to avoid this is to use power management to swtich off monitor in 10-20 mins or to at least use a screensaver (just enable a default one by right clicking on desktop and clicking properties, screensaver).

They will eventually but i have read that they will need a small tube replaced inside after about 10 years use. No worries though its less than 20 bucks.
