I bought a wide screen tv and it says i need to change my resolution to 1334x something, but i dont have that option, the biggest resolution i have is like 1200x something else. do i need to download something to make this work?? please help!!

I am using Linux. In display properties it is not showing me 1000* something option. currently it is 800*something.
How should I increase the viewing region of my monitor. currenetly I am viewing only half part of websites in browser.
Any key ? Any suggestion ?

I know about the degaussing button becuase ive used that a million times already! does anyone have any suggestions? maybe someone who works with T.v.'s or computers or someone who's smart when it come to this stuff? i read on a site to use a drill with a magnet stuck to it to like suck out the magnetic field and the people said it worked that tried it but im afraid...Thanks for you help if you have anything=)

Also the water dries very quickly and it won't rub off after it dries. I am trying to clean it while it is on and a bit warm. Should I only try to clean it when it is off?

I thought about plain water but that doesn't seem like it will get the job done. I don't want to scratch the screen oo clean it with a chemical that might harm it.
