Do I have to have a keyboard readng the same HP brand?

My computer is 10 months old and the monitor is flashing and shutting off by itself. I want to buy a new (cheap) one but I dont know what kind to buy - can I replace it with any computer monitor or does it have to be an HP like the old one?

Hi there. Just turned on my PC the other night to find the monitor constantly switching to power save mode - as though there was no connection. When the monitor does show me a picture it's not quite right ie. closed screens don't dissapear properly, layers seem to integrate and virtually everytime i click on something the screen dissapears.

I have to say it's highly infuriating and i don't understand it seeing as nothing has changed from the day before where everything was working normally. The PC is still under guarantee but i was hoping to see if it might be something stupidly obvious first. I have checked all connections several times, ran a virus check and tried a different monitor. The problem still exists.

Is it possible there is a problem with the power chord? Or is it likely to be something more to do with the hardware side of things?

I'll be very grateful to anyone who can offer any help.

It was working perfectly, then when I switched on yesterday, that's all it said. I've checked all the leads - everything is connected as it should be, lights come on as normal, computer's humming happily to itself... It's not on warranty so I'm hoping I can fix it myself - can you suggest anything please? Thanks!

I have just purchased a new monitor( samsung flat 17"). my computer is custom. it worked fine 2 months ago, went in dry storage, and when I hook it all up...the signal code won't detect or work. I have cleaned and reseated the card(Nvidia bloody monster 4, Apollo graphics AGP card). I don't want to pay the "GEEKS" $70 to look at it if there is a fix out there I am missing...please help!!!

My computer screen keeps on turning pink, then blue, then goes back to normal, but then goes back to a pink screen. I have tried every possible way, and NOTHING WORKS!!!!!!!!!!!! Do any of you all have any suggestions? And a way to fix it? I need it fixed fast because I have a visitor from the Netherlands coming soon and I don't think she wants to live here in the US with someone who has a pink screen on their monitor!!! My computer monitor has real problems. When ever i have to turn it off or unplug it its fine, When ever I go to turn it back on it stays black and clicks then makes a buzzing sound. With my finacial situation right now i can get another because there like 70 dollars for the off brand monitors. So what can i do to get my computer to come back on. I unpluged it about a week ago and it hasn't come back on yet. Usually It comes back on after a couple of hours is there any way that I can get my monitor to come back on with out having to take it anywhere. Thanks for your time

its a hyundai imagequest L70s any bit will help it went from a yellow hue to a red hue with just truning it on. i think it has to do with a small powersurge we had but im not sure if thats it or not.

i like this laptop but i dont like resolution it is on the highest color and resolution but i still hate it. my cousin has a desktop with a flat panel monitor i forgot what brand it is i think he got it at costco like 2 years ago. but the resoultion is super high its the highest i have ever seen when i first saw his desktop i couldnt take my eyes of it. the detail in the picture was so perfect it made mine look like you know i think he most have upgraded his because his mom had the same monitor and her resolution looked like mine almost so tell me what i have to do make the screen beauitful!!!
