or my screen adjusted right. I did plug my monitor into the video card any help would be great.

I suggest you remove the video card, put the monitor back on the onboard video, and install the drivers that came with the video card. Once that's done, the reinstall the new card, plug your monitor into it, and restart the computer. You should be fine.
