Go to Control panel then Display when the box opens go to Screen Saver and at the bottom where it says Monitor power click power and on the drop down bar make sure it says Power Scheme Always on. If it does not say that then drop down the bar click on Always on then click Apply then Ok. That means when you shut down you will have to manually shut the monitor off.

Hello,

That is strange monitors don't turn themselves off usually. The problem is most likey your PC or a loose cable. You may have a PC virus as well that is programmed to turn your monitor off and annoy you!

Check your cables, get some compressed air and blow out cracks and crevouses on your computer. Do a virus scan at our website from the Links page.

Sorry

Mine did it when the cathode ray tube was failing. Most likely a faulty cable or anti-virus software malfunctioning, but if it keeps doing it over the next few weeks, expect that at some point it will fail altogether. If the actual computer is failing, too, it's not the CRT.

sounds like a loose cable, to your pc, or a bad video card, overheated video card, or maybe a faulty monitor.
