Check to see if the plug got knocked loose when the monitor was plugged in. Otherwise check the clock(Hickory Dickory Doc).

Re-assemble them again it will work. There is no link between the monitor and the mouse both are independent. So, please check with the connections and restart the machine it will work.

getting a new moniter should not affect anything to do with the mouse check if its plugged in properly

remove the software for the mouse and keyboard they reinstall ,if that's no good go back to where you got it, good luck
