I do at work, even though the computer runs XP and I have a 17" monitor. The logging in/booking/sales program was made in 600 x 800 format and to make the screen resolution larger makes the program look a bit silly only covering 3/4 the screen.
It's a pain also trying to surf the net on it, when trying to source components.
Please take pity on me, I need cheering up today ;o)

Hi, I build websites and actually about 28% of users still use 800x600 resolution. Check out the surfer stats at http://www.echoecho.com/ I find them to be very accurate.

properly 800x600 would be putting around even with the undeniable fact that not distinctive them. maximum designers inspect their analytics/information to verify what consumer resolutions are getting used the main. no depend if that's a small p.c. (that's regularly is) designers will layout web pages wider then 800pxs. Your internet site will in no way seem a hundred% precise on all computers even cellular telephones finally end up with scroll bars and so carry out a little mini flash netbooks out now. truthfully layout what you like.

Wow, I was gonna say me(cause I do) but after reading what all the other folks wrote, I'm not so sure I should. lol I'm not the pope and I'm not blind, but my computer is 5 years old and it just is easier to read when everything isn't itty bitty-know what I mean? are you asking for a reason? I know since I upgraded to XP- even with the higher settings- I have some problems with images being a little darker than with Mill., so I just set them back to whats most comfortable for me: )

Only people with ancient video cards or poor eyesight. Don't forget that some of the micro laptops are only capable of this resolution because of their tiny screen.
