someone told me that all computer moniters (nowadays) are hd, thus they can show media in hd quality is this true???

I like ViewSonic. Never had a problem with them.

Generally the pixel/per inch in the computer monitor is higher than the ordinary TV. So you can say that most of the monitors, specially TFT/LCD are HD (HQ). To some extend this is true.

S all the computers these days come with high quality resolutions,, i would suggest you to go for a lcd monitor than a crt monitor because it gives a better picture quality

No. Computer monitors are just like TVs. Some have Hi Def capabilities and some don't. It usually depends on your PC and what it produces.

no this is not true...lcd and plasma screens have a higher resolution but not all are hd capable

And just FYI - monitor is the right spelling.
Most of the computer monitors don't even have HDMI inputs ;).
