is 17" a good size and what sould i look for when buying a monitor?

17" is a good size but if u have the money get a bigger size (also check to make sure u got the right connector like vga or dvi your computer most likely to have vga unless u have a pci video card which will have a vga and dvi output then it wouldn't be a problem)

There are cleaners especially made for flat screen monitors and laptops, I use them and get great results, I'd be hesitant to use anything else.

Yes i have one, but i upgraded to the 19" ultra sharp. Nicer
