Your monitor maybe set to power off after 10 minutes.
Check control panel
Display
Screen Saver
Monitor power
Then change the time before the monitor turns off

Right click a blank space on your desktop
Select Properties
Click the screensaver tab
Enter in a new value or use the up and down arrows where it says "Wait:[ 10 ]minutes"
You can also modify the settings and the actual screensaver your computer uses

go to control panel and click on power options, under power schemes make sure your monitor is not set to turn off, where it says turn off monitor click never and then apply, your screen shouldnt turn off anymore

go to start control panel power options click on the tab tht says system standby click on it and select never
