I have a Compaq Presario desktop and my dad replaced the Compaq monitor with this huge Samsung SyncMaster997DF monitor and now you can't see everything on the websites.
I can't see all of the links...I have to put my cursor over the invisible link or radial button to figure out exactly what it is and I changed the colors of my Yahoo page but I can't see that either. Also, when I go maccosmetics.com I can't see the color of any of the color swatches! I don't know how to correct it. I tried checking the monitor setting but that didn't fix everything. My dad screwed this up somehow. I need a computer geek to help me with this one... ;-)

Make sure that your video driver is the right one for your new monitor.
1. Right click on desktop and go to properties
2. Go to the settings tab
3. Click the "advanced" button
4. Click on the monitor tab
5. Make sure there is an option in the scroll menu for a Samsung Syncmaster monitor.

If there isn't go here:
http://drivers.softpedia.com/get/MONITOR/SAMSUNG/
And download the appropriate driver for your monitor.
