Televisions generally do not have as good of resolution as computer monitors. Even if you did get the right cables and hook them up, the resolution would be very poor.

The TV has differen funtioning.
For example a TV has a graphic card which encodes the signal which it recives from the Cable. Where as a monitor does not have any graphic card but relies on the computer graphics. In short a TV complete. A monitor is incomplete except with a computer. And you would not find a sultable cable also. New TVs do have the option of converting it to a monitor.

The center of the demonstrate screen and usual television are the comparable in that they the two are created from the comparable technologies. a working laptop or computing device demonstrate screen besides the fact that has a diverse demonstrate screen and resolution than a television....its brighter for one, and additionally has extra pixels than a television, making it much less visually straining....in case you have been to apply a television demonstrate screen on your demonstrate screen you will possibly locate that maximum text cloth is blurry (till its super fonts) and pictures are no longer as clean as on a working laptop or computing device demonstrate screen, this is by way of dpi of the television (dots consistent with inch)

You can use your monitor as a TV (ofcourse with a TVTuner Card ;-) ) But not the otherway. You can, maybe in the near future use your tv to surf the net, but not now. not in 2007.

No. You cannot use your television as a computer monitor. Computer monitor has a high resolution which television monitor does not have. It simply wont work.
