The most common is using too much thermal grease. Excess of thermal grease spoils the correct heat dissipation, besides the possibility of drop to the outside and putting the system in danger.

I agree with the answers, sounds like your processor is overheating and shutting down.Too much (Thermal) grease could well be the problem. I would do as has been suggested and remove any excess grease and just use a thin film. Make sure the cooling block is secured properly on top and make sure the cooling fan is running when you turn to PC back on.

BE CAREFUL with the open case once you turn it on and DONT stick your hand in to check connections if the fan doesnt work, TURN IT OFF FIRST.

You might have overloaded on the grease. Some new processors already come with grease applied (IF you have to get a new one). Try taking it out, cleaning it CAREFULLY with canned air. Then re-grease it using a small amount of grease (Make sure its heat resistant grease) put the processor back in CAREFULLY. Also, you might have bent one on the processor's pins, when reinstalling. If this occurred, dont bother fixing it, get a new processor.

Dan is right .... remove the CPU, wipe off the excess grease (as well as from the surround areas) & try again. Unless you accidentally nudged some other components during the initial operation this should fix your problem.

CCleaner is a freeware system optimization and privacy tool. It removes unused files from your system - allowing Windows to run faster and freeing up valuable hard disk space. It also cleans traces of your online activities such as your Internet history. CCleaner also fixes your registry. But the best part is that it's fast (normally taking less than a second to run) and contains NO Spyware or Adware.

I had the same challenge some months in the past, theory it change into correct to a corrupt video card, yet eliminating that and attempting yet another one didnt fix the challenge. My computer is consistently kept very sparkling so i knew it change into no longer undercover agent ware or an endemic. The motherboard change into the terrific element it would want to were. Stripped the computer down, replaced the board, outfitted it decrease back up lower back, challenge solved. wish it isn't as extreme on your case even if it would not sound too promising. wish this facilitates.

If your computer is not working properly while you are working on it, it could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software.
