Laptops & Notebooks - November 2007

Apart from e-bay, are there any other simialr sites that sell stuff? Im looking for either a laptop or a notebook to buy. Obviously I would like the site to be safe... I dont want to buy a laptop on the net, and when its delivered it turns out to be a cardboard box... Thanks!!!

I am wanting to purchase a laptop here in about 1-2 months but, I have no idea what to look for. I need to get a hp or dell because I get a discount on them through my company. I would like to keep it under $1500 and I will be using it mostly for work, everyday use and, I also like to play the sims. I would want it to have a dvd burner as well. The problem is I have no idea what type of ram/ hard drive/ processor to look for or, how much of each I would need for what I wanting to use the laptop for. Anybody know how to change the boot menu to CD-ROM for twinhead notebook?

I would like to reformat my notebook.
What is the key to press to enter the boot menu?
I try to press F8 continuously but it can't go in to the bios.

Okay, so I was cleaning off some dust when my H key fell off. Obviously, I can still use it, but it is not snapped into place properly. This has happened before with different keys, but when I try to push it down, it either stays down or one end comes up. When I try to level it, it comes off.

Ideas?

i have a Sony VAIO VGN-FE880E/H 15.4" Notebook PC (Intel Core 2 Duo 1.66 GHz Processor, 2 GB RAM, 160 GB Hard Drive, DVD RW Drive, Vista Premium) and there are a lot of games that have requirements that it doenst meet. any good radeon or geforce chipsets you would recommend?

It would work great all the time, one day it turned off suddenly, and now it just shows blinking pumkin light which looks like in the sequence of 1011 0101 0101 0110 1100 ( when '1=on' '0=off' ). When the laptop is plugged up with AC adaptor, the light is green. But if I push the power button, it changes to blinking orange. It still charges up the battery. I tried to do something like push the power button, hold it for 2 minutes and 30 seconds, but didn't work well. I know many other toshiba owners should have the same problem as I got. If there's someone who resolved this problem, please help me out not to throw away hundreds of $$ on this.
