14' or smaller widescreen
1 gb ram
256 mb graphics memory nvdia 7400 or higher
vista compatible
light weight

and should be within 1200 us$
and should be available in singapore

i want a multimedia laptop, something that could let me watch tv,has a superb sound and brilliant screen,average gaming performance,above average speed(about 2Ghz) average memory, wifi isn't important, will you recommend toshiba qosmio? what laptops are the competitors of qosmio? who wins toshiba or dell basing from my requirements of a laptop?

It's a Pioneer DVR K12D in a Sony PCG-K14 notebook. It stopped working with other than Microsoft Office original CD. It won't work with original DVDs nor with burned CDs or DVDs. Is there something I could do to make it work? (Other than replacing it?!)

I have a internal hardrive. But i have a Laptop. is there any sort of USB transformers i can buy or any ideas how to pass the information from the hardrive to my laptop? iv thought about using another computer but i its a 2002 hardrive and most of the desk top computers around me are 2005 +.

I purchased my Gateway laptop back in January of 2005, unfortunately after a year in '06 it started having problems. Luckly I also purchased the entended warranty through Best Buy. But my laptop has been fixed 3 times already and this is my fourth time(computer does not turn on only power light is on). Not only that its been fixed for multiple things cd rom, mousepad, screen, mother board or whatever its called the list goes on at once. I was hoping for Best Buy just to give me a newer one but I was denied replacement, I was planing in getting a Sony but they sent it back to Gateway to fix and who knows how long that will take. I take online courses and my warranty is almost up this is a nightmare. This laptop is a piece of crap and will eventually breakdown again. What should I do or say to get a replacement? Please help...any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks!
