How do I delete files from my hard drive that have been installed by websites I've visited without my knowledge.
I'm selling my MacBook and I don't want to have any trace of any sites I have visited. Crazy conservative sites like the Drudge Report, etc

Google Drive Scrubber Software and you should get a lot of results for software that cleans your drive. It overwrites your disk up to 10 times with 0's to completely erase any trace of data.

Re-formatting it would be a wise choice...since ur sellin it away u might as well sell it clean. But there are cases where reformatting once doesnt always do the trick of clearing unwanted files or folders. Cheers!
