My old laptop is dead and got a new one. What I want to do is to transfer the data stored in hard drive of old laptop to the new one. Any ideas on how I go about this?

ok when i look into my windows task manager it says i have ______ kb of physical ram, which i assure you divides into 382 MB of ram, but first, they dont sell ram in that kind of number and secound, there is a clear label that says 512 MB when i look at the ram chip, why? plus i have a program that i want to run but the requirement is 512, but it says i dont have enough ram also...

I am looking for something along the lines of a laptop, but I don't need the internet and I don't want to pay a lot for a laptop, I just need to be able to save and edit large quantities of writing. Is there a device like that out there?

Mouse seems to be lagging on Laptop; I just installed of XP from vista; I also installed XP driver too for the touchpad... It's not constant lagging, only when im searching on the web or when the computer is doing something. My computer is a toshiba Satellite A135-S4467; Core 2 Duo 1.6Ghz; 1.5GB RAM. Thanks

I have 2 hard drives on my laptop, if i make a clean installation from windows xp to windows vista and save my drivers on the d drive before the instaltion....will it still be there if i install the windows vista on my c drive?

Hi, I need a new laptop a.s.a.p. I purchased a Toshiba Satellite and had to return it twice because both the original and replacement screens contained dead pixels. I'm now in between these three, ThinkPad X60s, HP Pavilion tx1000z, or a Dell XPS M1210.

What matters to me most is that the pc is very light weight and reliable.

I am currently starting college as a freshman this year and am hearing impaired. I am looking for a digital device that will record and save the message. Something that I can plug into the computer and be able to have it put into writing for me. Without having to hear it to be able to type it. It can do that for me. Any idea's?
