How do I get more ram for my pc?

I have 448 ram on my pc. It's brand new and very slow so how do I add more ram onto my pc?

you can get it @ any pc store, i think they have it @ best buy! you need to know what kind to get, i have about 30 dimm sticks that i wanted to sell and have just been adding them to pcs that i'm building! the amt. of ram does make a big dif. in the operation of your system, and you want as much as possible! my personal IBM that i use, i have 3 sticks @ 512 mb each. and it flys i've never had a problem, but depending on your pc an avg. is 256-512, some of the hps were as small as 64. when i change that to 256 wow what a dif. good luck in your search. you probably want pc 100 or pc 133! first open your tower, once you are inside looh and you will notice about 4 inch long comp. chips that gave a clip or tan looking tab on each end, just push the clops away from the chip and they will come out there are probably 2 of these although you could have more!

you buy the ram designed for your PC and if its a desktop you take off the cover after disconnecting the power cord and on the big circuit board ( mother board ) you'll see some slots make sure theres noting like a dial up or other big cards with connectors in a slot right above or underneath it if there is you want to look for a different slot that theres nothing in if you see sticks using up all the slots take one out and use a stick of ram
( memory ) and get one with a bigger size and put it in some bestbuy or circuitcity stores do it for you

buy it from any computer shop e.g. pc world you want at least 1GB
