very wierd. Usually the mouse only lags when the computer is being stressed and under demand, running large applications, but your computer spec is high. If its only when your on the internet then clear your temporary internet files and cookies, should speed things up.

Check that your virtual memory settings are correct, or higher than previous, and windows needs hard disk space to run effeciently so always try to leave 1GB free (minimum is around 500mb though)

P.S. how do you clean a mouse ball on a laptop, do people still use those type of mice?

Mouse and keyboard lag are transforming into further and extra elementary with all sorts of video games, regardless of ways annoying the hardware criteria should be or how effective the device is it extremely is operating the game. the straightforward answer on your question is that it really is quite not likely to be hardware appropriate. in truth, it not often is, even if it extremely is the first suggestion you receives from virtually everybody once you ask about it. somewhat, it really is maximum in all probability on the placement of the particular shown actuality that your video card and USB mouse share an IRQ. it really is fairly counterintuitive, yet upgrading your hardware drivers gained't fix the placement and sometimes will make it worse. somewhat, downgrade to DirectX 8.a million from DirectX 9, use older video drivers somewhat than the hot (pretty for nVidia hardware), and in case you take advantage of an ATI video card, google for fixes to hotkey polling issues. also, you are able to opt to attempt utilizing a playstation /2 mouse somewhat than a USB mouse. or you should get a playstation /2 adapter on your USB mouse. even if, you should attempt having as few USB peripherals connected as accessible on your equipment at any given time.

If you haven't cleaned your mouse internals lately that may be the cause. Twist the plastic circle that surrounds the mouse roller until it comes off - don't worry, only the ball will fall out. Take a Q-tip saturated with rubbing alchohol and clean off the little rollers inside - also clean the ball. Re-assemble & try it out.
