dell dimention pcmcia pins bent?

a friend of mine has a dell and every one of the pins in the slot is bent! does anyone know how he or i can fix this?

You can try a narrow putty knife. The chances of you getting the pins straight enough to work again is slim. But since they are already bent, you will not lose anything by trying. Turn laptop off and remove battery while you are performing this operation. The reason for a putty knife is you should be able to lift a lot of pins at the same time to the same level. The pins are probably all bent about the same amount. So good luck, nothing ventured nothing gained.
