I don't know. That's what I was wondering. Maybe you should wait a while??? But you don't want to have it for a long time and be the only on w/ xp. Plus you can probubly use alot of XP stuff on the vista, but probubly not the other way around.

Buy your laptop and put Linux on it. The most decent windows OS is XP. If you dont like it, get linux. I you want the new User Iterface that comes with Vista you should download the Vista Transformation Pack for Windows XP. The new UI is the only reason to change to Vista. Vista has failed every performance test I have seen on the web. Good Luck

the term laptop is being worked out for notebook. Just like when XP came out it took a while for the bugs to be worked out. I say wait on vista for about another year. Keep using XP Pro for now. It will take a year to see if Microsoft can really make the concept work. Don't just go buying some ting because its new :p

In most cases notebooks are just as good as desktops. I have one of each and use both all the time. The notebook is very mobile and fast. The desktop is big and non-mobile but better for my gaming. It really depends. They make notebooks now that are just as good at gaming than Desktops. Like I said I have both and enjoy the flexibility of the notebook and power of the desktop. You can get Notebooks that are called desktop replacements. They can do what a desktop can and take up lest room on your desk.

Search for a laptop with Windows XP home or Pro on it. Vista still has too many driver issues.

At this point it does not really matter. If you gat Vista you will get the updates as they come out. Of course if you do not need to buy a new PC now then don't, just do not let your choice be basied around Vista.

First off it's called a laptop not a labtop. Secondly, my dad is a computer tech and says Vista sucks. I don't think it matters weather you wait or get one now.

If you don't need it right now I'd say wait awhile until some of the bugs are worked out in Vista, at least until one mjaor service pack has been sent out
