Factory Setting Reset for Laptop?

I am taking my laptop back to the store because it isn't working right. How do I do a complete restore to factory settings, thus removing my info? I have windows vista for an os if that helps. Thanks for any info!

reload on the original CDs that comes with and made clean installation.
