I think the most intensive computer game I will play is Medieval 2 Total War. I like mainly strategies. I found this computer that I could buy:
http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&sku_id=0665000FS10086399&catid=

That one says it has a 256mb card, and so does Medieval 2. Will it be adaquate? If not what kind of card should I look for to play strategies?

I am a SimCity 4 Deluxe player, and I have brought this game for 2 months. Recently, my computer had "broken" down, and I was required to bring this computer to a technician to fix it up. The technician seemed to have no knowledge at all, and what he did was "re-install" Windows XP , which I could do that myself. Afterward, I re-install SimCity 4, and I could still play it, even though I lost all my cities. Then one day, my sister had "broken" down the computer again, and by my own self, I was able to fix it, but "split" the computer into two, so that my computer had two sets of XP running. I then re-install my SimCity game, but found that I could not play the game anymore. There was an error message saying "Hardware Driver Error - Could not initialize DirectDraw". Well, I had installed DirectX 9 already, and also, I have tried the DXSETUP on the disc. With the help of DXDIAG, I was able to find out my video card was missing ever since the technician fixed my computer.

I have the I/OMagic GigaBank 250 mb external hard drive and it has been working great since I first purchased it (roughly 6 months ago), but just recently, it does not even power on. I double check the chords and outlets to see if anything is loose but unfortunately, nothing is wrong. I try different sockets in different rooms and still nothing. What is wrong? What should I do?

i have a geforce 7600gt with a amd64 3200+ and 1.5gb of ddr400 ram
however when i play my games bought on dvd/cd they play fine, good smooth graphics/frame rates.however if i download a game, especially racing games soem of them stutter and jump which is annoying
why does this happen,i could understand this with a radeon 9250 or a geforce 4mmx,but the 7600gt is a good card
could this have anything to do with my psu(400watt) being borderline as a compatible power supply
any advice would be appreciated
cheers guys!

Someone at my office just gave me some speakers for my computer. I'm guessing that this computer has never played sound before, so obviously they won't just work when you plug them in. I have Windows XP professional. Someone told me I needed to download a c-media driver or something. Is this right? If so, where would I get that? Thanks!

I just received a USB 2.0 EP Memory Mini Flash Drive. I can't seem to get it to work. I plug it in to usb port, and the red light comes on, but theres no where to access it that I see. Nothing shows up in my computer, and nothing in system tray. It does say, This Device Can Perform Faster in a popup window, but thats it. I'm running windows xp. Please help.

I have an older computer, not too old; Sony Vaio with a Pentium 4, 2.80 GHz and 2 GB of Ram, but no PCI-e slot.

So I've been looking for an AGP card to replace my GeForce FX 5200 128 MB card.

Was in between a few cards in that price range;

So mainly in between these two. Both Radeon x1650 Pro. But the thing that was confusing was the 256 MB has GDDR 3 and the 512 MB has GDDR 2. Wasn't sure the big difference between these. Any helps appreciated, thanks.

Here are the specs: 4.0ghz, 1gb ram, 256 mb integrated vid card. i have the newest directx and video card driver, so i don't understand what the problem is. i tried two games, the one listed above and quake 4, and neither of them works smoothly on LOW video quality settings, i'm puzzled...

I've got an external hard-drive but the adapter/transformer that connects the power supply to the drive is shot. The 4 pins in the connector are all bent and there's no way I can get it to plug into the hard-drive itself. Looked everywhere for a new transformer but can't find anyone who does them and now it's really cheesing me off that i've got all these documents on my external drive that i can't access.

Any ideas????

They say it is 256MB card because it has 128MB on card and 128MB it uses system memory. Are they correct or have I been conned?
