Im going to buy a new video card for my pc because my regular one doesn't work for the following games:
Battlefield 2142
Ghost Recon Advance Warfighter
Both of these games are for pc of course.But I just want to know, if this GeForce Graphics card is going to support HT&L and my games. Thank you for your answer!

When HP offers customization for the dv6000, the CD/DVD Drive gives you three options: DVD/CD-RW Drive, 8X DVD+/-R/RW w/Double Layer Support, and Lightscribe DVD-RW Burning.

The second option just got me wondering "So does that mean I can't burn CDs but only DVDs?" That would be rather odd to have a drive to burn DVDs and DVD-DLs but not simple CDs.

So yes, does the 8X DVD+/-R/RW w/Double Layer Support REALLY can't burn CDs at all or it is possible but they do not state it?

Changing the mic or line in volume up doesn't work, and I have to record using a program with a playthrough feature... is there some freeware app to do this?

My webcam doesnt work, it says occured problem while installation, and when im trying to check it to view myself it says, sorry no webcam found in your system. but it was already installed. And when im trying to view my friends it says, im behind a firewall. Help!

I dont know how to go about purchasing a webcam. Living in the dark ages I guess.

I have a Inspiron B130 notebook and I want to add a webcam to my PC. I thought of going to Circuit City or Radio Shack but I dont want to go in there acting like I know what I'm doing . Can someone tell me how to do this , where is the best place to buy it and what I will have to do to install it when i do purchase it-lol

I have update the driver, so thats ok, but now audio cd's are not being read. Dvd is fine. Is there two lazers, one for each media, cd & dvd? Or does the one lazer do all? Please help.

I have a question, I am thinking about buying a lap top to replace the 2 year old system I have now. I love the sound (music) I get out of the desk top. I want to burn dvds. Like if I download a movie or if I borrow a movie from someone I want to burn it on a dvd for myself. Since this dvd drive is brand new and came with the installation cd and everything, shouldnt I be able to burn dvds? Or will I need to buy a codec or something to be able to do this. I looked in the instruction manual and this is the only thing it said about the subject: "As a cd Rewriter or DVD Rewriter: In order to write to CD or DVD media, you will need additional software. The Recording software kit included with the package will offer you funtion like mastering, packet writing, duplicating, backing up your hard disk or files, capturing audio and more." What does that all mean? Plain english please? do I need to buy some other software or something? If so Im just going to return it to the store.
