Add-ons - January 2007

My mother board is from a HP 920a computer. It has been put in a new case because the power supply died in the old case. I now want to update the graphics card because right now it only has the on board graphics card. How do I know which one this motherboard will support? I only have PCI slots. I want to get one that will be able to handle such programs as SIMS 2. I also don't want to spend an arm and a leg because it is for my 6 1/2 year old.

and even managed to pair the dongle with my phone. i can transfer files from phone to pc, but whentrying to send items to phone a box appears saying windows cannot find the device. what's going on?

Okay I got me a new graphics card for my pc the other day because my old one was no longer supported by the types of games I play. I got a nice brand that is compatible but I've yet to install it. Here is my question....will I loose my save game data when I insert the new grahics card and take out the old one?

Entering my kingston 1GB memory card into my Motorola SLVR L7, i locate it in
my phone storage devices as 'Card - Unformatted'
I press Details and a message comes up:

'Storage device unreadable.
Format now?'

So I click OK
'Formatting will erase all data.
Continue?'
I click YES
A small message comes up saying 'formatting card' with a revolving sand-timer to show me that it's still formatting, however, this only lasts for 1 second
before i get another message saying:
'Format Failed.
Try Again?'
so i try again and again but it will not format.
I do not own a card reader so i'm unable to format it on my computer.
If i was to have to spend out more money on a card reader, i dont even know if
it'd work.

How can I make my memory card work, preferrably without having to buy a card
reader?

BTW; My mum bought me this as a christmas present and the warranty says 'only refundable if returned within 7 days' so it's FAR too late to get a refund/exchange.

I see three folders inside of it...one says cruzer sync...one says pocket cache trial version...one says cruzer lock 2...do these matter? How do i make sure it's on the drive?

I bought a new 2.0 USB hub and a USB 2.0 PCI card for my system. (Got a new printer) The PCI card does not fit onto my motherboard because it has 4 ports on it; It physically won't fit. (I know, should have checked before I bought it!) I've looked online, and it seems like all of the USB PCI cards have ports on them. Am I just out of luck and will have to live with the low-speed, or do they make the cards without the ports? By the way, I have a Dell Dimension 2350 that is about 4 years old. Thanks!

I was going to get the X1650 PRO tomorrow and get more RAM later.(1048MB,depending on card performance) But I discovered that Overclockers UK are selling a new AGP card that seems to be more powerful than the X1650. The X1950 PRO. I read a site that tells me allthe details and it seems very impressive. I also realised that it costs £152 inc VAT. I don't have that kind of cash but I also know that it hasn't went into full production in the 512MB model. I don't want another 256MB. But I can't find one on Ebay. I'm thinking that it may become more available and cheaper. I would buy if it was cheaper. But when is this card due to become more available and no more expensive than £120 on any retailer or merchant, even on ebay? If its not out within a week and is still expensive I'll probably get the X1650 PRO off of Overclockers UK. Tell me if its worth the wait and the price...

I currently have an ATI X700 256mb PCI-Express

My system
AMD 64 3200
1GB RAM
120 GB HD
300 Watt Power Supply.

Have considered the Following Cards"
ATI X800 256mb
ATI 1300 256mb
Nvidia 7300 GS 256mb
Nvidia 7300 GT 512mb

Any other card suggestions would be good. Not looking to spend lot of money say about $150

Did not want to upgrade power supply due to cost

I've been searching for a 98 driver for a Wise 128M mp3 player without any success. The firmware is SD5482 v1.3 11/15/05.

I can't find Wise anywhere and they're not registered with FCC. I have been unable to find any sort of generic. MS Media Player says it needs a usb 2.0 (FS) Flash Disk SP.

Found a lot of 98 users looking for mp3 drivers … sup with that?
