I have an agp slot. I currently have a ATI 9800. I want it to be compatible with Splinter Cell Double Agent. My price range is <$400. Any help is greatly appreciated.

This is the best, period, nothing anyone has listed is better than this one (except of course they guy that said 8800GTX, but thats only PCI-Express), and this is well within your budget, so it seems a pretty simple choice.

you're in luck, you can get the top end video cards for the agp slot. Probably the last ones released.
For nvidia you can go with the 7800GS
for ati go with the x1650 pro
You may also want to consider upgrading to a board with pci express. You can spend around 300 on a video card and around 100 on a motherboard. There are far better cards out there for pci express and that is where everything is headed.

an ATI X800 or X1600 would a good choice and its not even expensive. around 200-250$

GeForce 8800 is around $450 and is the best card currently out.

CHANGE YOUR MOBO. GET A PCI XPRESS SLI ENABLED MOBO AND A MIDRANGE CARD LIKE THE 7900GS. IF YOU WANT MORE PERFORMANCE LATER, YOU CAN ADD ANOTHER 7900GS FOR SLI SETUP.
YOU MOST PROBABLY WILL HAVE TO RE-INSTALL WINDOWS AFTER CHANGING UT MOBO.
