I've been searching for a 98 driver for a Wise 128M mp3 player without any success. The firmware is SD5482 v1.3 11/15/05.

I can't find Wise anywhere and they're not registered with FCC. I have been unable to find any sort of generic. MS Media Player says it needs a usb 2.0 (FS) Flash Disk SP.

Found a lot of 98 users looking for mp3 drivers … sup with that?
Appreciate any help … you can email me at Yahoo.
Tks

A few things are possible solutions,

-Make sure you have a usb 2.0 driver installed.
-Make sure you have the latest version of MS Media Player installed.

the only drivers necessary for a usb mp3 player to connect to a computer are the usb 2.0 drivers, unless a specific software application is necessary to access the player- which shouldn't be the case unless it's an ipod.

I'd recommend going to a website like pricewatch.com and looking up your mp3 player. Then, cross reference your player with a few websites- there are usually manufacturer website links off of store pages.

You could also do a Microsoft Update (that's different from windows update) to see if there are any hard ware drivers you need.

If you know the Drivers you need go to www.drivers.com and you can look up drivers there. Hope it helps you. there are some patches in 98 for MP3's for win 98 to keep from getting hacked so download media player 10 or 11 if you have 7 it's out of date.
