I currently have 512 megs of ram... I want to get 1 gig by adding 512 more (duh) but is it better to add 256x2 .. or 512x1?
My computer has 4 ram slots..
I read on a site (http://www.crucial.com/store/listparts.aspx?model=VAIO+VGC%2DRB30)
the following
"Many DDR and all DDR2 desktops and motherboards have a built-in feature called dual channel that allows you to utilize the bandwidth of two modules at the same time. For these systems, you need to install modules in pairs for maximum performance, so if you’re going to be adding 512MB of memory, you are better off buying two 256MB modules, as opposed to one 512MB one. Again, this information is noted in the Memory Advisor tool to help you get the correct solution."
When i asked this question before, people said 512x1 ...

I have (LG) Wireless local loop phone LSP-3500. This set is connected with computer via USB port. The problem is that my computer hangs up when I try to dial-up internet from this phone. I figured out that the problem lies in USB connection because this set USB connection is not USB 2 compatible. Kindly tell how to configure USB connection to be compatible with USB 2

Hey,
I'm having trouble deciding.
Would 7300gt sonic be a good deal for an above average gamer like me?
Or would it be better if i save that bit to go with 7600gs sonic?
Here's the catch, i'm financially tied for the moment.
I've just enough for 7300gt sonic, but need to save a little bit more on 7600gs sonic.

My dell optiplex has two usb ports in front which is good since that way I don't have to reach around to the back to insert a usb drive (it's hard because I have carpal tunnel). My 'ergonomic' keyboard has two plugs--one for the keys, the other for the touch pad. I plugged them into a two to one adapter so I would only have to use one of the ports in front, but only the keyboard works; the mouse pad won't work. So now I have to use both ports just for the keyboard. Now I still have to squeeze behind the computer to get the removable drive in. I finally saved up money for an expensive (for me, anyway) computer and I thought at least I'd get some higher end features. Any ideas? The adapter came without software and said you didn't need any.

I have four slots in my computer that stuff can be slipped into. Two of them are the same and 2 are both weird. I have two slots that hold cards (those two slots have two little areas where the card can fit into...they look like this http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/d/d1/AGP_slot.jpg/400px-AGP_slot.jpg

I also have a weird one that is long what is that?
Then I have This LITTLE TINY one which is VERY small what is it...what can it hold?

Can I fit a card like this: http://www.synthax.com/hi-res/rme/cards/PCI.jpg

into a slot like this: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/d/d1/AGP_slot.jpg/400px-AGP_slot.jpg
