I have a dell dimension 5150 and i've tried to partotion my c drive so i can image my drive for back up reason's. But when i try to create a partition i get a error message "A new partition cannot be created on this hard disc. Most proberly all primary slots are occupied and there is no extended partition."
Any ideas?

my OS seems adamant that my Core2Duo 4300 @ 1.8 ghz is an AMD64 architecture.Have you ever ran into this problem,or heard of it?If so please help me,its holding me back from installing normal drivers and apps.

I didn't have the start up disk. At that point I should have just took it in to a shop or found the right boot disk,,,anyway I I installed another copy of WinXP that i had for another computer. Now I can't find my wireless modem or any of my drivers. Can't even watch a DVD. Will the boot disk help at this point?

I can use it to create & read DVD data files for back up, but when a movie DVD is inserted I cannot get any player, including Windows Media Player to respond to it. I presumably have lost a driver/codex or whatever, but do not know how to identify what driver might be missing, where to get a replacement and where to put it on my hard drive! i stopped displaying . its has built in mother board

Ok here's wat happened. Yesterday, when i'm using my pc suddenly it hangs. After i reset, it starts 2 get very slow. I mean very very. I got 2gb ram P4 3.0ghz n a ok graphic card. I thought its my hard disk tat cause the problem n yes i do find a bad cluster when scanning n already repaired it but there's no improvement. Wat's the problem actually? Right now I have two 512MB RAM modules in my home-built PC. They are elixir 512MB DDR-400MHz - CL3 PC3200U modules. I would like to add an additional 1GB of RAM to the system. I have 3 total RAM slots (1 availible). Could I just buy a 1GB RAM module and add it to the existing RAM? Should it be the same brand (elixir)? Will I have any compatibility issues? Should I just buy two 1GB modules just to be sure? I would hate to waste the modules I have now.

Also, can I reformat my computer with the existing RAM now and add the RAM later or should I wait and install the new RAM before I reformat?

I have an LG crt monitor. I have the nvidia geforce 7300le graphics card. I planning to buy xfx geforce 8600gt or 8600gts.
On the preiview pictures of the cards I could see 2 DVI ports but no serial port. How will I connect my crt to the card?

I am looking for a motherboard that has a pci-x (not pci-e) and supports Quad processors.

Preferably one that is 45nm compatible and has a pci-e slot as well, but the first 2 requirements are a must.

All I could find were
the Asus "P5NT WS", the "P5WDG2", and the "P5K WS", and they are pretty hard to come by.
