there are a lot of cheap lexmark models. I use a x2350 and it does everything I need. I cant remember exactly what it cost but was less than £30. cartridges come with new heads so its like having a new printer when its changed. they cost around £15

I have tried Epson, Lexmark and HP printers and not one of them comes up to a Canon. I now use a Canon Pixma MP180 which is an all in one, can print from memory cards and is very economical on inks. It runs out at about £50 and I would not use any other at the moment. The amount of printing that my family does, I find it the best on the market. The inks are reasonbly priced as well. hope this helps.lol

properly, not an inkjet, this is for particular. Any laser printer will extra healthful the invoice. lots of the decrease priced ones are black and white, yet you may get somewhat priced shade ones now too. Laser printers use toner, not ink, so as that they don't dry up or give up working in case you depart them for long classes.

These are Which? best buys. Not exactly cheap most of them but the Canon Pixma MP600 is only £140. HTH
If you're fed up having both a printer and scanner cluttering your desk, or if you like to photocopy or scan occasionally but don't want to splash out on separate devices why not have one piece of equipment that does it all for you.
All-in-ones can scan, photocopy and, in some cases, fax. Bearing in mind that you can now get hold of models for under £100, they're certainly worth considering.
Historically, we've found these devices' individual functions don't quite match up to their standalone equivalents. With some functions, this remains the case with scanning in particular, a bit disappointing on many of the models. Nevertheless, one of our Best Buys stood out for all-round speed and quality.
However, our Best Buys offer excellent print quality and extra functions at a reasonable price. A word of warning with all these machines, bear in mind running costs when you buy.
Best Buys Canon Pixma MP810
Price: £255
Score: 75%
Type: Inkjet
One of the best all-in-one printers we’ve tested, the Pixma MP810 produces high-quality text and photo prints. It’s also one of the best models on test for scanning and copying, and its 3-D scans are better than most.
It’s cheap to run and offers excellent value.
Canon Pixma MP600R
Price: £250
Score: 74%
Type: Inkjet
A really versatile model offering excellent text and photo prints at good speeds. The Canon Pixma MP600R scans and copies well and can be shared between more than one PC, thanks to its wireless connectivity.
Photo printing is just slightly more expensive than with other Canon Best Buys, but generally its running costs are low.
Canon Pixma MP830
Price: £250
Score: 74%
Type: Inkjet
This Best Buy Canon is a very impressive, robust photo printer which produces high-quality text prints as well.
It’s not cheap but it’s still a good choice and it has five separate ink tanks for top quality photo printing.
Epson Stylus Photo RX700
Price: £250
Score: 74%
Type: Inkjet
A good, if pricey, all-rounder producing top-notch photos.
The RX700 prints great-quality photos and has decent scanning and copying capabilities, too. Impressively, it has six ink tanks, including two special photo inks, and its power consumption score is one of the best on test.
Canon Pixma MP600
Price: £140
Score: 73%
Type: Inkjet
The Pixma MP600 is the cheapest of our Best Buys and offers excellent value. As well as producing great photo prints, it offers high quality text prints and is pretty speedy too.
Scanned text is very sharp, and it copes well with colour magazine pages.
Canon Pixma MP800
Price: £225
Score: 72%
Type: Inkjet
It may not be the cheapest on test, but this excellent photo printer is great at text printing, too.
Pros: Good-quality photo and text printing, speedy text printing
Epson AcuLaser CX11N
Price: £500
Score: 71%
Type: Laser
This Epson may be physically hefty, but it makes light work of text printing.
If you plan to do a lot of text printing this laser printer could be the one for you. It gets top marks for printing speed and the quality of text printing is excellent.
