Best Cpu for me?

hi, i have a p4 3.0ghz with ht tech and am looking to upgrade. could anyone help me? i want it specifically from www.amazon.co.uk and do not wish to spend over £150 also, it needs to be socket LGA 775. Any help from anyone will be greatly appreciated!

thanks ray, that was a nice reply but £150 is the absolute max i want to have to pay. if the price of that goes down then maybe but at the moment i really need less than or equal to £150

It really depends on up to what processor family your motherboard supports. Check your motherboard's specification for accurate information. Otherwise, you might get a processor that fits LGA775 but may not be supported by BIOS.
