I didn't have the start up disk. At that point I should have just took it in to a shop or found the right boot disk,,,anyway I I installed another copy of WinXP that i had for another computer. Now I can't find my wireless modem or any of my drivers. Can't even watch a DVD. Will the boot disk help at this point?

i've already reformated the hard drive and attempted to add a new winXP will the gateway disk help?

Call Gateway and order the Recovery disks for your laptop. You can't use a store-bought XP disk.

Read the laptop manual.

type this in run,clik OK
find the services you need.if in doubt,check in Help And Support .
clik it ,should have started or not .top left ,clik start for the one you need.
