I just got a Belkin wireless G to replace a Linksys that fried. I use Cisco VPN to get at my work's internal website. Over the weekend I changed to the Belkin router and at the same time a particular server I need to get to changed to https (secure).
I can't get onto the server anymore. I can SSH into it via PuTTY, but I can't put the browser (IE) on it (or Firefox). This wasn't an issue, I don't think, with the LinkSys, although the server wasn't https, so I can't say that for a fact.
That said, the router log is showing a DoS (Denial of Service) / RST block for the times I tried (and failed) to get to the server, so my guess is the router is blocking it.
The Belkin doesn't seem have a way to disable the firewall, although I did try to place my machine in a DMZ, but to no avail. There are some passthrough things I can use, but I tried putting the MAC address for the Cisco adapter in it, and it made no difference.
(Yes, I have to use IE for this particular application). Thnx.
