Why do you need a hub? It is better to buy a switch . Let me explain the difference. A hub is considered shared media, so every device you put on a hub sees the packet that is put out there. example if A, B, and C are on a hub and A has info for C B will also see it. This can result in collisions. example If A and B a re both sending something the information will collide and no longer be any good now the computers have to wait for it to be sent again. Hubs have collisions alot.

Now on a switch you don't have collisions because if A, B, and C are on a switch and A sends info to C the switch makes a connection between A and C only. so then B send to A it makes a connection between A and B once A has sent its nfo to C

they are a whole lot better.

Yea they do make wireless hubs and routers and switches. And are fairly cheap
