i have dsl and a belkin wireless router...

it was working fine, now when ever i visit youtube, or dl something (even a podcast) it will start downloading and then stop.

weeks ago if i was connected to the router via ethernet it would work fine... now if i'm wired OR wireless it drops. (i can view websites fine)

i've tried soft reset, master reset, factory reset. same thing.

if i connect the computer straight to the dsl line modem, it works fine - other laptops in the house have the same problem.

I'm not running any p2p stuff, i've cleared cache, cookies, restarted, rebooted everything (like i said it happens on more than 3 computers so it's not an issue on the computer)

At this point i'm thinking that i may have to buy a new router... i thought belkin was a really good brand...

any ideas?

ps thanx for reading.

I had new pc bought last week and it worked well. It has a intel desktopboard DG31PR and a duo core e6550 processor. And 1GB system memory and a ati radeon video card. And Vista ultimate OS. But in the past days after i bought it, seems sometime i have to restart it three times b4 it will work well. Because the system randomly hangs up even in pre loading the OS.( i mean in starting my comp. it will not load the operating sytem, it hangs. And today it didnt even had a display on it. I reset all the connection inside the motherboard and also the battery. I tried to not use my video because it has a integrated Video on board. but still it didn't work. I tried to transfer the memory in another slot but still it also didn't worked. Why? and what part of the pc causing that failure?

http://www.planbcoach.ws/meetcoach
As an example for other websites...
Other times you have to enter /meetcoach.html
why is .html not needed?
Is this some other type of file other than an html page?
If it is an html page, how do you make the extension not require the .html.
Thanks!

Cant we search the needed blog catagory wise at Blogger.com???like we search topic in yahoo answers???

...for an example;
ON YAHOO ANSWERS- U have a number of catagories like sports, health, music, education...
...now;if u want to know about cricket; then u go to catagory of sports & then get the topic of cricket or u can directly search by writing "cricket" on "search question" part..

but is there any such facility in BLOGGER.COM??? by which we can directly get our needed blog???

We hooked up a new pc last night, and using a router, we had both pcs running on the internet.

This morning, upon boot up on the old pc, i get the message that a network area cable is unplugged. Everything is the same as it was, i.e. plugged in.

New pc is a dell with vista, old one is a dell with xp.

Any help would be appreciated=)

Peace=)

I work at a private school and one of my students suggested we start a facebook group for everyone at our school. Is this dangerous? Will I open my kids up to online predators? Could the page get out of hand and kids flame the school? (right now they love it, but who knows if one kids gets pissed off in the future)

Nearly 5 times my computer was blocked by a Spyware site stating that my computer was watched and somebody trying to steal data from my computer. The advertisement through Internet Explorer often interrupted. Therefore, I did find no other way except reinstalling the computer. May I reinstall my computer often? Will it cause any trouble?

I live in a country where most people cannot afford genuine software so they mostly rely on piracy in order to stay up to date with technology and work.
I realize, reading Y!Answers, that in countries where copyright laws are strictly enforced, the average people are deprived of the opportunity to learn more because they can’t afford genuine software either.
Only a minority of computer geeks know enough about ICT to handle software because they probably spend all their earnings in computers.

I noticed that a bunch of my documents in my C: drive were accessed this weekend. Some are old work documents I have not used in about a year and some are more recent. I am trying to figure out if someone could have accessed my computer remotely by knowing my IP address. Only some documents were accessed, so I know it wasn't my computer doing a security sweep or back-up (if that was the case, all similar documents would have been accessed).

Is there any way to check if someone pinged or accessed my computer?

Some info about my computer:
Toshiba laptop PC
Windows XP
Cable modem - not wireless
Computer is password protected but sometimes it goes into hibernate mode when I take a work break

I own a 7-month old hp Pavilion dv6000 with Windows Vista pre-installed.Last October, one of my RAM failed.I had several bluescreens during those times. My technician changed it with 1 gig ram and reformatted my laptop using the recovery discs I made. After reformatting,he installed several programs on my laptop including kaspersky 6.0,games,winamp etc.I was satisfied by the result of his job.But I had again a bluescreen. It happened 2-3 times.I asked him to drop by our house to see what the problem is.I suspect that it was due to incompatible programs(games, shockwave, antivirus) that he installed.Actually he could not YET determine if the bluescreen error relies on software or hardware since he still needs to download a utility program that would check errors on my laptop. He said that Vista is a new and fresh OS that's why it's not yet fully mastered by the technicians. And so he suggested me to Downgrade to XP.He had already successfully downgraded 6 vista-computers to XP.

Personally, I've already used all of the versions of MS Windows (From the oldest Windows 3.1 to the newest Windows Vista). Coz I'm a PC guy. :)

Sometimes, I do use Mac OS - from somebody's Mac computer. But that was long time ago.

All my life, I never used UNIX or Linux until now. :(

Anyway, to find out some simulations (It is almost like you're using the OS's), here are some of the sites I want to share:

During start up, the windows logo will show loading. Then I get a window that contains only ୸ß and an okay button. Whether you click okay or not, windows will move on to the welcome screen after a minute or so. All applications and programs seem to be working properly. I have tried system restore...Didn't work b/c hubby created last restore point with anti virus software running, so it didn't perform as expected. I've also looked into reloading windows, but it came factory installed and I keep getting prompt requesting the cd. I know I can get a copy from microsoft and there is a way around this particular obstacle, but I would rather do this as last resort. I have tried restarting in safe mode and rebooting. I have also looked into the applications running upon start up...no luck there either. Any suggestions on what I am dealing with?

I could use some help building my website. I am trying to build one using many different offline programs, but with the same result. Used Publisher, PageBreeze, NVU and some others. I can build the page, but when I try to upload it to either my Freespaces account, or a couple of other accounts, everything uploads except my pictures. I get the box with the red "x" in the upper left corner. I've tried uploading the pix also, in case that was the problem. No luck. I haven't moved the pix location, so that's not it either. No matter what program I use, same result. Everything uploads but the pix. Can anyone help??? Thank you!!!
